A Few Pics from a Guest Photographer

Posted by Tricia August 11, 2008

I have been having a few technical difficulties on here, so I apologize for the lack of posts. Things should be fine now, but if you notice anything funny – feel free to let me know.

Today I thought I would highlight a guest photographer. He likes to photograph things from a low angle (and I did the digital manipulation).

Here’s a few shots of one the locomotives at Quincy Mine:

He also likes to take pictures of “pretty” things:

These pics were taken by our son. I decided that I would let him take our camera and have some fun with it this weekend. He soaked in all of my instruction and started snapping away. This isn’t the first time a photo of his has appeared on here. He contributed a “Where in the Copper Country” shot with the Osceola #13.

As time goes on, he’ll probably be contributing more pictures :-)

Tell your son that he takes great pictures!!!

My daughter is about the same age as your son and she loves to take pictures. She likes to go with me when I go looking for stuff to shoot.

I’ll post a great pic she took of a tiger lily in our yard. It’s a great pic for an adult, let alone a 7 year old.

Good job, son of Tricia!

Jay and Tricia, it’s good that your respective kids are learning to take it slow and look around for photo opportunities. Too many people rush around (even when they’re hiking in the Copper Country!) and miss the beauty of it all.

I like it — I’m a big fan of macro shots too, so it’s even better for me. :)
