Fall in the Keweenaw
I haven’t been around here much lately. I’m taking a bit of a break because we have been working on a new website and of course, we had to spend some time and go out and enjoy the fall colors. The past few weeks in the Keweenaw have been amazing. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a more vibrant year for fall color. Of course, photos never seem to do the fall color display justice, but I gave it a shot.

Probably within a month, I’ll be back on here posting on a regular basis. Just in time for the snow :)

Thanks for the post/pictures. I miss the Copper Country in this time of year. I think I recognize picture #2 - is that near Baltic?
Hi Shirley - picture #2 is indeed near Baltic :)
Very nice! That first photo is curious, with the old posts sticking up in the field. Where is it?
dcclark - thanks! Hmm…maybe I should have done a “Where in the Copper Country” LOL :)
The first photo is on the Gay road not too far from Valley road (near Lake Linden). I absolutely love that view and was really hoping the cows from the nearby farm were out but they weren’t.
Oh yeah, I know where you mean now! — It’s right off the Traprock Valley Road. See, I would have gotten it eventually… :P
I love the last shot of US-41 (I’m assuming it’s 41). I really want to get a similar shot. We’ve got to make a trip up there in the fall sometime.
Yep, it’s US41. Right behind me was the wooden Mandan sign :)
